The brown Coppertone bottle, SPF 8, was my best friend (along with a bottle of Sun-in) for my 1980s teen years. I’ve taken that Coppertone inspiration and turned it into two handbags made by cutting vinyl and then gluing/sewing it onto more vinyl for nostalgic summer fun.

1. New vinyl cut, glued, and sewing, then trimmed with new vinyl

2. Lining created with coordinating vintage printed sheet fabric

3. Buckram layer between outside and lining for structure

4. Base made from a double layer of recycled corrugated plastic

5. Interior double pocket

6. Acrylic ring handles

7. Handbag: Length: 10"; Height: flowers 10.5”, sunset 9.25”; Depth: 4”

8. Interior handle drop 3.5”
